In the waning days of summer, Project HOPE, the community outreach initiative of Urban Health Plan and HPAC worked with tenant leaders at the Manida Street buildings to plan a Health Fair for children and families. Project HOPE provided physical activities for kids and spoke to parents nutrition and asthma treatment. Urban Health Plan also provided on-site health screenings and information on topics chosen by tenants. Residents were invited to share healthy snacks and grilled veggies provided through the Food Program, while tenants took turns DJ’ing the event.
